Arkansas consists of three main businesses. The first being agriculture, second is tree- farming and the third is aquaculture or cat fishing. Arkansas has an abundance of yellow pine that is used extensively in the American construction business. So by managing the forest areas in the southern and western parts of Arkansas the United States is guaranteed a renewable source of wood products. This managing includes rotation of land systematic planting, systematic cultivating, and programmed harvesting. In doing this with the upgraded machines and technological equipment, there is no longer a need for mass quantities of man power. Therefore there are fewer jobs to be had. With the southern states growing demand for fish diet and the unique holding properties of the soil, Arkansas is ideal for cat fish farming. In that it is the science of spawning, raising, and harvesting to meet the demands of market.
