Dale Carnegie first published the book in 1936 in New York by Simon and Schuster, with 231 pages. Dale Carnegie was a pioneer in self-improvement, and he became famous for lessons he established that stressed public speaking and interpersonal skills. His book How To Win Friends & Influence People has sold over 10 million copies around the world and has been translated into numerous languages. This book still remains popular today and is intended for teenagers and adults that want to conquer the social aspect of life. Carnegie was an early on supporter of what is called responsibility assumption. His major idea in his book is that it is possible to change other people's behavior by changing one's reaction to them. Carnegie also his own tutorial program called The Dale Carnegie Course.
