Main Characters: Robert Langdon is one of the main characters in the book. He is a professor of religious symbology at Harvard University. Sophie Neveu, Sauniere’s granddaughter, is a cryptographer who lives and works in Paris, France. Sophie is a very outgoing person, and loves the thrill of a chase. Silas, Opus Dei’s apprentice, is an albino who is trying to recover the keystone to destroy it to save the churches secret. He is a very strong man who could break a man’s neck with his bare hands. Silas is a devout Catholic.
