Teaching Autistic Children Autism is a disorder that affects many people throughout the world, yet it is not widely known. An estimated one in five hundred children are born with autism (American Cultural Exchange Associates). �Autism is three times more common in boys than girls,� according to A.C.E. This is a disorder that affects different aspects of a person�s body. It is a very complicated developmental disorder that usually occurs during the first three years of life.
