Personal Learning Styles Learning styles for the working adult must be fluid. In order to keep up with the ever changing working environment, we must be able to change our thinking technique. As I try to understand my personal learning style, I realize there are many different ways to learn. Personally, I am a visual learner. Over the years, I have come to realize that I learn much better if I can see what is being taught. I also must understand that this may not be possible in many situations. Therefore, I have learned to adjust my learning style to hopefully meet the requirements of the instruction. Being a member of the military for 14 years has taught me that there are multiple personalities and learning styles. It has always amazed me, how the military can take all of these different styles, and produce similar soldiers in a few short weeks. After completing the Pathways to Learning Assessment, I now understand that the interpersonal study techniques have been widely used in the military.
