The effect of gender was examined through the likeliness to comply. The study also measured the effect of type of requests on compliance. Unusual and usual requests were presented by a female and male voice. Responses were measured on a Likert scale. Both of factors, in independent studies, had a large impact on compliance. It was predicted that likeliness to comply would be in order of female unusual, female usual, male unusual, and then male usual. Results indicated that there were no main effects or interaction.
