I came across all sorts of point of views in this book: he/she-narrator, omniscient narrator, I-narrator,� It changes all the time. Sometimes you hear the opinion through one of the characters themselves, while some pages further, everything is told by a omniscient narrator. I�m not quite sure what the function of this point of view is, it made the book quite confusing to read at some points, but it also helped in bringing out the chaotic environment in which the book is written. c. Characters: There are a lot of characters in this novel. One chapter, you are following Mark, while the next chapter, another character is in the spotlight. But there is one person who gets the most attention, and that�s Mark Renton aka Rents. Although he is addicted to drugs, he is quite a gentle and kind guy. He doesn�t really hurt anyone, and he feels bad when he has insulted someone for example. Of course there are some exceptions, when he is high on drugs. Then he doesn�t care about anythin......
