How animalism is made into a totalitarian ideology. An analysis of the book "Animal farm" by George Orwell. The story about Animal Farm starts with all the animals listening to a speech made by the respected pig, Old Major. He tells them about a dream he had, and then about how bad conditions animals in England live under. Old Major wants them to rebel against humanity, and instead live in complete harmony and cooperation with each other. For as he says; �Man is the only real enemy we have� The animals form their own ideology which contains all the things an ideology should contain. They analyse the society they live in for the time being and their place in it. �No animal knows the meaning of happiness after he is a year old. No animal is free: the life of an animal is misery and slavery, that is the plain truth� Then the animals define their goal wich is to get rid of man so the product of their labour would be their own. And last they find a way to reach their goal. To rebel when the opportunity comes. �That is my message to you comrades: Rebellion!� He tells them they must ......
