Many people may seem to be strange, antisocial, or disturbed, but the truth of the matter is that these people suffer from many different disorders. Far too many people suffer from these diseases and that is summed up in the story �the Secret Life of Walter Mitty.� This story is about a man who has many disorders, none of which are known, that tries to live his life in a miserable family atmosphere. Although Walter Mitty may seem to be just another guy trying to escape the realities of a mundane world, there is more that is found underlying in a mind that is disturbed by a stressful and restless lifestyle. There is a great possibility that Walter Mitty suffers from many different ailments ranging from anxiety to seasonal anxiety disorder. The first thing that comes to mind is anxiety, his most visible illness. Anxiety can be caused by large amounts of stress such as a death in the family, the loss of a job, or an accident.
