If I was going to be the director for the scene 2. Act 1 in Macbeth for a class performance I would� At the beginning of the scene make Banquo and Fleance act jumpy and very aware of what is going on around them, as it is night time, and that means evil in the Shakespearian times. Fleance will be carrying a torch for his father and himself and he will also be carrying his father�s sword. They should act like they are suspecting things, be nervous, and act eerie (maybe biting nails.) At first the conversation will be normal, after a while it should go quiet, and the conversation will slowly die down. The actors being Fleance and Banquo should make the play effective by acting confused: maybe stuttering, and one of them holding their heads. I would like to make Banquo worried about the three witches and their prophecies. We know Banquo is worried as he says �A heavy summons lies like lead upon me.� And after he asks Macbeth if he has spoke or dreamt about the three evil witches.
