Naturalism Worldview Matter and energy is all there is for eternity. No supernatural God exists in reality. Reality does not include any spirit beings or supernatural God. The reality exists in material cosmos with all its forces, functions according to unalterable and permanent "laws" of physics and chemistry. These forces are also in the form of energy. The universe is a closed system, which functions only by cause and effect. Seeing the universe a "closed" system, means that it is never changed or acted upon by anything from the "outside". This statement explains why there is no such thing as a transcendent being, or "God", above or outside the cosmos. Man cannot transcend or rise above the material/energy universe in any way. He exists totally within the realm and reality of that universe of matter. Supernatural occurences are not really supernatural at all- they are merely natural (although amazing) events that have not yet been discovered by science.
