The Cannabis sativa plant is most commonly grown in tropical places around the world. There are over 100 species known to grow throughout the world. The original use of marijuana plants was for hemp, which is a substance that can be made into rope. It has been used for centuries but after using the hemp in the stem, the oil�s were extracted and it later started being used for medical purposes due to its mind altering affects. Today marijuana is still used for making rope, bags, and the oils can be found in certain paints. But the most common use for marijuana is the smoking of it.
