In the Article Code of Ethics, it gives a list of six core values that The National Association of Social Workers believes all social workers should follow. When reading the ethics over, I agree that all of the values should be the core foundation for social workers. Service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence are all crucial points a social service worker must take into consideration when servicing other people. Otherwise, there may be some close minded opinions and advice being given.
When going through the ethics, I think the Code does a great job with summarizing the ethical principles of social work. The Code gives a good layout for social workers to follow when dealing with clients or situations.. It does hold the social worker accountable if they make an unethical decision.
