Today in the United States, there are over 31,000 gangs with over 800,000 members. The ABC news had two correspondents: Cynthia McFadden and John Quinnones interviewed the leaders of Gangs. Cynthia interviewed two female members from two gangs, the Drifters and Tepa 13 and John interviewed King Tone, the leader of New York city Latin kings. They also had members from the gang tape different activities inside the gang life. In this shows how groups maintain control over their members. In many gangs, the cost of an individual results from shooting, property damage and drug- related violence. These activities occur mostly in urban communities. Communities are affected as they struggle to fight the spread of gang violence. A gang is a group gathered together to commit anti social behavior.
