Night In the book Night written by Elie Wiesel there was tremendous injustice and lack of respect that many Jews received. Elie Wiesel experienced the Holocaust in this story. This boy survived everything from starvation to mental and physical endurance. Elie Wiesel survived the Holocaust of World War II. It wasn�t easy; he went through several conflicts from competition to cooperation. He lost everything from his family to his faith in God. For Elie everything was competition: the selections, survival for hunger, surviving in the concentration camps. (page.95) �There was a stampede. Dozens of starving men fought each either to death for a few crumbs.� � Men threw themselves on top of each other. Wild beasts of prey, with animal hatred in their eyes; an extraordinary vitality had seized them, sharpening their teeth and nails.� The Jews were starved for days. Whenever the sight of food came, the prisoners would throw themselves at it, they would do anything, kill if they had to. They were treated like animals. Elie lost faith in God as time passed him by.
