Skepticism of everything that is �normal� to most of society seems to be the essence of Nihilism. The ways of thinking found in Nihilism are very self-centred, showing no loyalty to anything. They are so to benefit the individual, though perhaps this is for the future good of society. Those who pursue Nihilism believe that all things not discovered for oneself are not to have faith placed upon them. Thus, each person should seek out truths for himself, for we should not impose our truths on others. The word �Nihilism� stems from the same origin as �annihilate�, which means to make nothing of something. Hence Nihilism means to make nothing of faith. Faith is seen as an illusion. Nihilists understand the tendency people have to follow one faith or another, though see those who do so as being humans of a lower level. Humans have no desire to live, according to Nihilism, yet we do have life. We maintain our lives, however, because we have the will to have power. The conventions of society are seen by the Nihilist as limitations to Man�s freedom- freedom of thought and, ultimately......
