In his Poetics, Aristotle defines the essential components of a tragedy: plot, character, language, thought, spectacle, and melody. These vital components reveal the true nature of a tragedy said to achieve, �Aristotelian excellence.� However, the application of Aristotle�s Poetics is not restricted to the confines of the literary form. The necessary elements that assemble a tragedy are also found in the blueprint of a well-made film. For example, Boaz Yakin�s film, �Fresh�, features an elaborate plot that depicts a twelve-year-old boy going on twenty-five.
