Silver Wing
The setting of this book takes place somewhere farther up north, but gradually travels to the south. The time of this book is unsure, but it seems to be in or near the present. The plot of this book is basically about a bat who gets separated from his colony and has to make his way down south with some other bats he meets along the way. The major characters in this book are Shade, Marina, Goth, Throbe, Ariel, Frieda, Chinook, and Zephyr, who are all bats.
Shade is the runt in his colony, but he still is really brave and is full of will power. Here’s a quote from the book proving he is a runt, “You don’t know everything Runt. You calling me a liar.” Shade proves himself of being brave throughout the whole novel as he is continually faced with obstacles that could lead to his death. Some parts that prove he is brave is when he is being chased by owls, pigeons and Goth and Throbe, all of which are all trying to kill him. Shade is also full of will power because he has to fly along way to get to his colony and he doesn’t give up. He also doesn’t give up on the thought ......
