The inspector calls written by J.B Priestly is a combination of many uses for a good play, suspense, sarcasm to create tension between the characters. Priestly intentions to create the dramatic tension are use for the readers to get into the book. The story is all about a family that is celebrating the engagement of his daughter Sheila with Gerald. The family consists on Mr. Birling a man of business; Mrs. Birling is a woman is a member of the Brumley Women’s Charity. Sheila a young pretty women who is going to marry with Gerald Croft. And Eric a young men who cant stop drinking. But when Inspector Goole arrives, the happiness of the family becomes tension. As they are told that a girl has just died in the infirmary. And they are told that all had to do for the girl to kill herself. In act one they are all happy, as Sheila and Gerald are getting engage. But when the Inspector Goole arrives to the house and starts asking questions first to Mr. Birling, Priestly starts to create tension and suspense. He creates first the tension, by asking many questions and not been afraid of ......
