Genesis �Genesis� is a Greek word which translates into our English language as �Beginning.� Throughout this book, it is evident that the title is incredibly important and relevant, as these chapters make up the story of God and how He created the world in the beginning of time. Though many aspects of the first two chapters are widely debated, many Christian denominations, as well as other religious groups, have derived their own meanings and translations from these words. Some argue that the words are merely figurative, while others persist that this is the perfect explanation for the creation of our universe and should be interpreted in a completely literal sense. Some also theorize that the first two chapters of Genesis are in fact authored by two different people. Though the majority of the Christian community believes that Moses is the infamous man who penned down the works of God, there is undeniable evidence that this theory has a basis in fact.
