Teacher says the �N� word The �N� word, some use it as a term of affection, some as a derogatory term, some don�t use it at all because they believe it to be ignorant. Whatever the preference the majority of the people that say it are the blacks not the whites. When the �N� word is said by white people, especially in a professional environment it causes a problem. Which is the case for a white English teacher, who says to a black student �Well then niggah, you get away form my window� Valley Traditional High School is in the middle of a racial controversy. A teacher used a racial epithet towards a student. The word is only six letters long but the impact is far reaching. Valley High�s English teacher Paul Dawson was suspended for ten days without pay for using a racist word toward a black student. According to Jefferson County Public school officials the term was racially inappropriate. In December Dawson was suspended after admitting to saying the word �niggah� earlier that month.
