The 2004 Presidential Election between Republican President George W. Bush and Democratic Senator John Kerry has become one of the most debated and watched in recent memory. Two very strongly opinionated sides have formed and have been quite vocal in this election where they may have been more muted in the past. What this has shown though is how very biased people are, one way or the other, and are not willing to accept they could be right or wrong. In my view politics is simply a battle of opinion. It�s the battle of what people think our government should be doing, how to achieve those goals, and by whom. At the end of all of this our government is held as an indirect hostage of opinion and bias. People will automatically disregard another view simply because it does not fit in line with their opinion, such as a person saying Kerry is a poor senator simply because his opinion on the war in Iraq changed, when in fact he has been an excellent senator, but because of bias on one subject they disregard him.
