Everyone has their own beliefs. Some believe in one God while others believe in multiple gods. Some pray to Jesus Christ while other have learned to pray to the Virgin Mary. Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostal, Methodists, Atheist, Mormons, non-denomination; there are numerous amounts of religions. People don�t usually judge religion, they usually accept it but when they hear of people doing voodoo, witchcraft, or hoodoo they seem to judge a little more. They think of the stereo-types of witches with a green face, long black coarse hair with a black pointy hat flying around on a broom and coasting spells with an evil, wicked, laugh; but not only is voodoo a religion but also a way of life for many people. Voodoo came to the new world from black slaves from Africa. The first place they went was the islands of Jamaica where voodoo was first called voodoo. When they first practiced it, it just amused their white masters but then they got scared and forbade them from practicing it.
