There is no doubt of an existing symbolic relationship between media and the portrayal of Arabs, particularly as seen in news media. U.S. Media has often projected individuals of Arab descent in a negative manner, being murderous terrorists that should be punished to no end. Newspapers use key words like �extremists�, �terrorists�, and �fanatics� to describe Arabs, labeling them as enemies of the American people. These distortions of Arab people have created a general mistrust and abhor for Arabs among the general American public. What is fascinating is that �news� suggests factual information when often times, it involves nothing of the sort. All that is offered to the general public are opinions and personal biases that are presented in such a manner that would suggest fact but couldn�t be further from the truth. If we were to analyze American media, it would be obvious that Arab Americans are being demonized.
