Feminism in the past had a very heavy impact on yesterday�s society. Women were not able to work or vote. They were expected to stay home to cook, clean, take care of the children and their husbands. In some countries, feminism is still a major problem in the society. Women still do not have as much respect in today�s society as they deserve. Women were not allowed to make art and produce it for people to see unless it was under a man�s name. This is mainly the media�s fault in the way that they represent women today as there is so much negativity towards females. In Jenny Holzer�s installation artwork which was shown at Candle Stick Park called Selection of Truisms, 1987, she displays signage saying �Raise Boys and Girls the Same Way�. This artwork portrays exactly what it says. It gives you a feeling that children of the opposite sexes are not raised the same way and that somehow girls are being raised unfairly than to what the boys are being raised. The message was supposed to make people consider the unfair concept towards such an odd addition to a normal ballgame......
