CARPENTRY The career I am looking into is carpentry, because I like to build things and I like to be on my feet and learn new things every day. Carpenters are always needed anywhere you go because things will always need to be fixed or someone will always need their help doing something. A carpenter builds every thing from small things like bird houses all the way to building new homes. There are different kinds of carpenters some are called layout carpenters and they layout things like frames to houses and other buildings. Other carpenters are finishing carpenters like ones that design or make cabinets, doors, and some other items in the building. Another type of carpentry is framing carpenters which is what I would like to do and they do floors, walls, and roofs. Carpenters are on the go all the time they hardly ever work close to the place where it would be easy to get supplies, although a lot of the jobs for some of the bigger businesses are on construction sites.
