Electroencephalograph: (EEG) Electroencephalograph is used for the studying the electrical current within the brain. The EEG records the electrical impulses. Results are given ether printed out or displayed on a computer screen. There are different patterns of electrical impulses and with these patterns they can note problems within the brain including different forms of epilepsy. Most EEG��S can only see a moment in time within the brain, and can only catch big abnormalities in function. An overnight EEG is designed to check the electrical activity in the brain of a sleep-deprived person. You could also get a 24 or 48 hour EEG that measures electrical activity over one or two days but they use a mobile EEG unit. REM Sleep: (Rapid Eye Movement) Rapid Eye Movement is when dreams occur and your eyes begin to move around under your closed eyelids.
