No Child Left Behind The No Child Left Behind Act was signed into law in 2002. The new set requirements will have an affect on all public schools in America. The main reason to have this act taking place is to close the gaps of achievement within different groups of students. Also trying to improve the performance of America's primary and secondary school��s by increasing the standards of accountability for states, school districts, and schools, as well as providing parents more flexibility in choosing which schools their children will attend. This act has many positive changes, but there are some negatives that come along with it. The standardized testing for students with report cards is very positive for helping get our schools on track. The parents are more involved due to this act being signed into law. The state is required to issue detailed report cards on the status on schools and districts. Under the new law, parents have to be informed if there child is being taught by a teacher who is not highly qualified. Now if a school does not make adequate yearly progress ......
