ALEXANDER FLEMING Alexander Fleming was a well known scientist who was born in the late 19th century and died in the mid-20th century. During his studies he published many medical books. All of his studies revolved around medical treatments. Without Sir Alexander Fleming we would not have the medication that we have today. Alexander was born on August 6, 1881. He was born on a farm near Darvel, his birth place was near eastern Ayrshire. In his childhood he attended a local school near his home. When he was 14 years old he began attending an Academy that was located in Kilmamock. He attended the school for two years and when he was 16 he started to work at the shipping office. After working there for four years he decided to start a career in medicine. After World War I, Alexander wanted to find anti-bacterial agents. He saw many soldiers die from Septicemia and he wanted to put a stop to it. The antiseptics that he had before penicillin was discovered, didn�t work effectively, they killed the patients immunological defense more than they killed the ......
