In comparing the rights of women throughout the world, one discovers that every region of earth discriminated on the female gender, in some form and still does in certain areas. This essay is to evaluate the rights of women in China, (where at this moment is creating more rights for women) to the rights of women of Iran. When researching these two nations it is discovered that they have little to no relation to each other in terms of women’s rights. Within the last 15 years, both Iran and China have done a considerable amount of work to improve the treatment of their female citizens. Iran is an interesting location to explore the treatment and rights of women. The women there have practically no rights at all. In Iran, women are considered to be worth half of a man, and at times they are not even worth that much. Article 457 fixes the blood money (the punishment for murder) for the loss of both a mans eyes as equivalent to the loss of a woman’s life.
