Watergate is certainly one of the most awful presidential outrages in the history of the United States of America. It is commonly known as a scandal connecting infringement of public trust, exploitation of authority by administration officials, and attempted obstruction of justice. It is named after the building complex in Washington D.C. that was the location of the unlawful actions perpetrated. Above all, the greatest revelation of Watergate was that the president of the United States, Richard Nixon, was a liar and a crook. Nixon simply told untruths to the American public, and misused his power. Moreover, the president fabricated the facts concerning his contribution to the affair, hid self convicting data, and allegedly, intended to have the CIA discontinue the FBI inquiry. Nixon was heavily occupied with the cover up of this shameful occurrence, nevertheless, he lied about his involvement. The lying continued for months, and as the facts of the matter began to clear up, several White House corrupt officials, and the president himself, were intentionally misinforming the public......
