Symptoms of Leigh's disease begin between the ages of 3 months to 2 years and continue fast. In some cases, Leigh's disease can begin during late youth or early adulthood and continue more slowly. Dr. Leigh was a *neuropatoligist. He looked at brains after death. Because of him, doctors are able to diagnose children while they are alive, and cure them. Leigh Syndrome is a **childhood neurodegenerative disorder. *A neuropoligist is a doctor that deals with diseases and disorders of the central nervous system. **Irreversible deterioration caused in the nervous system.
