When you hear the name Richard Nixon, one may think of scandal, lies, and deceit. Although that is the reputation he received, that isn’t all that he is about. Richard Nixon will forever be remembered for his scandalous activities with Watergate and other events, this will out shadow all the good he was responsible for with foreign affairs. Richard Nixon was born on January 9th, 1913 in Yorba Linda, California. He was the son of Francis A. and Hannah Milhous Nixon, who came from the Midwest. Francis lived in Ohio, and then he moved to South California where he met Hannah. In 1922, the family moved to East Whittier. There, Richard and his father opened a grocery store and gasoline station. Richard Nixon had four brothers: Harold (1909-1932), Donald (1914-1987), Arthur (1918-1925) and Edward (1930- ). (5).
