Relationships Today�s teen wants to be idolized and respected. They are constantly under surveillance of the peers, to determine whether they are �cool� enough to hang out with the �cool kids�. They are judged by their friends, their clothes, their weight, and their facial features. Teens that are more attractive, wealthy, brighter, and more athletic usually are the one�s who achieve the popular status. But as all rules there are loopholes, if you do not achieve popularity by your looks. You can always become popular by dating someone popular. Teens need to realize they should choose their friends wisely. Being around the wrong crowd can place you in the worst of situations. The same goes for when choosing a boyfriend or girlfriend. Also analyze your relationship with your mate. Point out the characteristics of an unhealthy relationship: 1) Believing one sex has more rights than the other. 2) Shouting or yelling when angry. 3) Using the �silent treatment�.
