Partial Birth Abortion May Be Murder In George Sowell�s essay, �Aborted Knowledge� he expresses an opinion that our society is guilty of suppressing facts that women need to make informed decisions regarding the choice of ending lives. Sowell�s critical, disapproving tone is evident when he states, �For too long we have been led to believe that an abortion is the removal of some unformed material, something like an appendix operation� (123). An appendix is a portion of the colon. The appendix is only removed when it is diseased or infected with a bacteria and causing harm to the individual.
