The Imperfect Assumption of Parallel Achievement Tests for Bilingual Students,� and �Dual Language Education: A Promising 50-50 Model by Leo Gomez, David and Yvonne Freeman of the University of Texas Pan American. Both articles came to my attention because they dealt with the fairness given to the ELL (English Language Leraners) students in exams and in curriculum. The firs article by Humpfner deals with achievement tests for bilingual students that are being made to prove the level a child is at education wise. Taking to account that every child is different and has a different situation are these tests fair? In the case of Spanish speaking English language learner the assumptions are many. These article speaks of how ��measures need to be taken to assure that these tests reflect the best interest of the population to whom they are administering (Huempfner 1).
