Ruling a land can be a lot of work, but keeping it to where is needed for a government to survive for many years is a hard thing to do. Society plays a very important role in a government such as Rome and Greece. Both of these lands have very different ways of running their cities and people. As I learned, mostly everything about these two societies were different from the rule o f their government to the way their people are treated to their religious views.
Governments within Rome and Greece were very different in the way they ruled the land and their people. The Roman Empire was governed by a set government whereas the Greek Empire was governed by city – states. The Roman Empire had a set government which included consuls (two men who controlled the army, taxes, laws and war decisions), the senate (made up of wealthy men in Rome), tribunes (people who spoke for the poor people), prefects (in which they ran the city) and an assembly (which is comprised of free male citizens of Rome).
