1 The Road Not Taken �The Road Not Taken� is a poem by Robert Frost; this poem is filled with imagery, Symbolism, metaphor, and just a bit of personification. It is a poem about the complications people like myself must face. My Father traveled a lot with us and He claimed that we have gypsy in our blood, because we love to travel. So this poem has special meaning to me. My life at eighteen came to a diversion in the woods of my life. Go left and join the work force in the carpet mills of Georgia. Or go right and join the military. The author stated that �And I could not travel both� I too was sorry because I was both scared and happy about the decision I was going to make. It was very difficult to decide, because I did not know what would happen to me, my friends. What would this decision cost me? so I had to choose. I chose the Army. So by joining the Army I took the right road and my fate was sealed. I then traveled the road that the author spoke of in this poem. The road that I had chosen led me into the unknown and so I began ......
