When someone asks you who you are, it�s easy to fall into the rut of listing off the roles you play: a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a neighbor, a coworker, a boss, a friend. Roles, however, do not define who you are as a person; they simply label your daily activities into categories. In order to truly define a person, you must look past the roles -- into the deeper aspects of that person�s personality. Why is that person the mother she is? What makes that person the wife she is today? How did prior experience and gene pool affect that person�s personality today? Was it a scraped knee at the age of 4 that made her an overprotective mother today? Was that crazy uncle in Canada a contributor to her screaming fits with her husband?
