Racism in America has changed. In fact it has reversed roles in some races, and in many more races it is just beginning to grow strong. According to �Racist America: Roots, Current Realities, and Future Reparations�, At a late 1990s town meeting on racial issues in Akron, Ohio, a white college student admitted to the audience that he was fearful of black men who were not well-dressed. President Bill Clinton, who was moderating the discussion, said to the student, �That�s a pretty gutsy thing for you to admit. Do you think that�s because of television crime shows, or because of your personal experience?� The white student said it was not from his own experience but from things he had heard.� This statement is one very different then one that might have been made in the 1950�s when the comment would have been from a black person, stating that they feared white people in power positions.
