A pain in the neck Moss knew that to linger too long in one place was a gamble. The stakes were high; the intelligence Moss carried could mean life or death for the lieutenant�s unit. This was a hunt where the predator could quickly become the prey Moss floated quietly through the jungle, losing all sense of time. Ceaseless movements, slipping weightlessly through sinuous vines reaching into and through the forest canopy. Wafting through patches of moonlight; mockingly cool shafts exposing any movement. The humid air is a heavy weight pushing against Moss; it took effort to keep moving. Coming closer to camp Moss loses focus and is startled when the foliage directly in front explodes into movement. A large body lumbers into view. Plastered against a tree trunk, Moss is blinded by a bright light. Everything freezes, except Moss� racing heartbeat. The light pans over Moss. �It�s all over!� The next thing Moss knows, the armored bulk has passed by and crashed through the tangled undergrowth. In sheer panic Moss makes a bee-line for the unit, which is hunkered down in a shallow......
