The law has had to adapt, change and amend legislation in relation to many current issues to ensure justice in the family. Equality is a major factor in determining the effectiveness of the law in the area of family. By its very nature, family law will not necessarily treat everyone equally. Children will not be treated the same as adults as they are particularly vulnerable.
