In Belize, the country in which I was raised, there is a dire need for the injection of economic opportunities, coupled with long-term plans to sustain these ventures as they are introduced to this developing economy. For example, most advertising in Belize is conducted through radio broadcasts and television word runs. In a world that has raced into the 21st century, Belize lags behind in its ability to implement the technological advancements that the rest of the world enjoys. Belizean marketers have yet to produce campaigns that stimulate the senses, nor campaigns that can convince consumers and investors that Belize has an economy worthy of global attention. In business school, I intend to develop skills that will allow me to assist in my native country�s economic expansion.
