Flexible accumulation encompasses time and space in today’s world with an influence upon our social structure that has never before occurred in history. We have entered into an era referred to as “ the Information Era,” thanks to the Information Highway, the “Internet.”
We noted that Fordism brought mass production, increased job power, and lead the way for mass consumption. The Post Fordism era brought new innovations, new techniques, new technologies, and reached out globally to incorporate new markets into the business realm. It brought both new successes and new problems for governments and societies to deal with. In both eras it changed the way things were done, the social conditions of nations, the connection between governments and businesses, the manner of consumption, but especially the way goods and services were produced, delivered, and used.
