Should The Marijuana plant be Legalized ? More and more people of all ages and social backgrounds are turning to marijuana today. The reasons are as involved and as complex as the drug itself. The marijuana plant has no doubt many uses. The question is should it be legalized and how is that going to affect society? Medicinal marijuana laws have been passed in 11 states calling them the �patient pot laws� making it more like a legitimate medical reason than a social trend. The Drug Enforcement Agency has declared that �in its natural form, (cannabis) is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known. The plant processed or know as hemp also has many industrial uses from paper to making a whole computer out of hemp except for the metals.
