Caucasian women develop breast cancer more often, yet African American women have a higher death rate from this disease (�Kashef� 1). Luckily, doctors and surgeons have uncovered several surgeries and treatments that may help cure and control this disease. Breast cancer develops in breast tissue. People consider it to begin after damage erupts in the DNA (�Breast� 3). This cancer causes the second highest result of cancer deaths in all women. One in eleven women will become a carrier of this disease. As a result, an average of twenty percent of women who contain breast cancer will die from it (�Breast� 1).
