For they who remained silent, the man with the gun said, come let us see if we can find space for you at the dinner table. �Is there an extra chair?� said he to his fellow comrades. Come let's have dinner. And then the mutilation began. * * * The year is 2000. Downing three glasses in the hot afternoon and I am just warming up. The day is bright as ever in this God forsaken sub-Sahara. Sometimes it shines too brightly bringing sweat and all the smell. Terrible smell! Human smell! The viscosity of the sweat runs down the edge of the brow to join its brothers streaming on the neck line. There are rivers of this slimy mess along the arm that the tiring swipe of the forefinger tries relentlessly to ameliorate. All is in vain just as the nation is. The same finger returns to the beer bottle and the glass beside it. The ideal is to pour one into the other......
