The failure of the Bay of Pigs invasion, in 1961, had caused great humiliation towards the United States. The newly inaugurated President, Mr. John F. Kennedy, had started many events that tampered with the relationship between our nation and Cuba. This conflict had soon led many other countries into even more complications. These following actions included the Cuban Project, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and then a treaty that brought upon many new programs and ideas to help these nations step toward reason and an end to communism. To the young senator, John F. Kennedy, and many of the American citizens, �communism was the enemy.� Kennedy took it upon himself to make a stand, and shortly there after, Kennedy ran for office. Kennedy then began to spark controversy with the Cuban Policies. Kennedy spoke widely of his hatred towards communism and of his conflicts with the Cuban Leader and dictator, Fidel Castro.
