As the closure of the semester speedily approaches, I am yet to discover what intrigues me the most about films, I thought it would be interesting being outside the box for once. As a reviewer or theorist who I am not yet, it would be nice to know how my critics may make or break a movie. With such focus, I decided to write a review or critics about a controversial movie many people in my faith find very disturbing and offensive, especially being directed by a Christian, Tom Shadyac. Bruce Almighty is excellent for its positive message being put across in a rather unusual way. It teaches us the strength of God, the weakness of man, and how our world would end up if man had the power or the position of God. Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey), Grace (Jennifer Aniston), and Morgan Freeman (God) were effective enough to carry a message across, but not a complete and true message. Their message is that when we humans are self-indulgent and ridiculous, God still treats us with good-humored loving-kindness; that God desires a relationship with mankind, even if we occasionally try His patience......
