Compassionate People Terrorist attacks on World Trade Center, hurricanes Katrina and Rita, tsunami in east Asia, all these tragic events took place recently and are still fresh in our minds. Everyone can point to the negative aspects they had in common, death, suffering, destruction. We can not change history, recent history but still history. What I want to concentrate on is the positive way people reacted to these events, with courage, adaptability and most important of all compassion. September 11, 2001. Terrorists attack the New York's World Trade Center. Thousands of people were killed. People of different race, religion, ethnicity, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives, were lost. People throughout the whole world were stunned, how could someone do such a thing? Why? They all sympathized with Americans, cried, laid flowers and lit candles in front of American embassies. In United States people pulled together as well. Centers to assist in locating the missing were spontaneously established. Everyday......
